Agenda item 3 | The community council agreed that the minutes of the previous meeting of the Full Council on the 30th June 2025 were an accurate reflection of that meeting. |
Agenda item 4 | The community council agreed the payment schedule as prepared by the Proper Officer and explanations were given where appropriate |
Agenda items 5 | There were no members of the public present at the meeting. Therefore the Chair moved to the next item of business on the agenda. |
Agenda item 6 | The Proper Officer and Councillors gave an update as to various matters attended to, meeting and events. The Proper Officer advised that Gas Safety Certification had been completed at The Hall and the Pavilion. The Fire alarms systems at The Hall and the Pavilion had been tested. There were two emergency lights out at the Pavilion and arrangements have been made for these to be replaced. PAT testing had been completed at both buildings with a number of items identified as failing. Arrangements are in hand for them to be replaced/disposed of. The fire extinguishers had been serviced in both buildings and items repaired/replaced as necessary. The Proper Officer advised that an invoice had been received for the by election that had taken place in December 2024. There was a breakdown of costs provided to councillors. The costs of which will be paid over two years. In relation to the proposed allotments at Hayes Road. Correspondance received from the VOGC was being addressed with a meeting this week to take place with RPS regarding their report, and further advice required. The Proper Officer advised that he had sought payment of the Playing Field Grant from the VOGC. The Proper Officer was to meet the week commencing the 15th September with Dave Knevitt to discuss the Playing Fields and Jubilee Hall. Councillor Lynn updated the community council regarding the appearance of “Sustainable Sully” at the village show at The Old School. The residents did not really buy in to the it but further attempts to publicise would be taken. There is to be a beach clean on the 20th September at Sully as part of the Marine Conservation Society initiative. |
Agenda item 7 | The Community Council agreed and adopted the Capability Policy, Sickness Policy and Disciplinary Policy prepared by the Proper Officer. |
Agenda item 8 | The community council agreed a date when the Councillors will meet to celebrate the festive season. |
Agenda item 9 | The Community Council agreed that due to the absence of employed staff, for whatever reason, that suitable arrangements would be made to ensure business continued as normal. |
Agenda Item 10 | This matter was discussed and the Community Council requested that the Proper Officer and the Vice Chair compose a suitable response. This to be sent to the leader of the VOGC |
Agenda Item 11 | The Council had been given a document for consideration by the Proper Officer. A discussion took place and it was felt that the Community Council could not endorse the agreement and that further advice would be needed. The Proper Officer is to further this matter. |
Agenda Item 12 | The Council discussed the matter. There is to be a meeting very shortly between the Trustees of the Community Library Trust. It was felt appropriate by the Community Council, that they would be in a better position and suitably informed to comment, following that meeting. This item will be discussed again at the next meeting of the Community Council. |
Agenda item 13 | The proposed date of the next meeting of the Community Council is that of the Full Council. This will be the Annual Meeting and will take place on the 6th October 2025. |
