The Saving Sully and Lavernock Group in conjunction with the Council have agreed to provide Sully and Lavernock with a War Memorial. The cost of this project will not fall upon the rate payers but will be funded by grants , donations and various fund raising activities.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council have agreed in principle to make a site available at the junction of Cog Road and South Road. The actual design and exact location will be made available in due course.
This is an exciting venture for the village as a whole and we hope the residents will take part in the fund raising, the first of which is a Sponsored Walk from the Jubilee Hall to Cosmeston Lake Park and back . This will take place on Sunday 30th June 2019 starting at 11am at the Jubilee Hall.
