Stanwell Remembers

Thursday 8th November 2018, 6-8pm

Stanwell School

As part of the commemoration of the centenary of the First World War, the staff and students at Stanwell School have been researching the names of the men on the Stan well roll of honour who made the ultimate sacrifice. Over the course of this research, we have found one of the men, Arthur Tudor Thomas, was a resident of The Cog, Sully.

We would like to invite you to join us at our commemoration event Stanwe/1 Remembers on Thursday 8th November 2018, to pay tribute to Arthur Tudor Thomas and all those on our roll of honour. We will be hosting a pop-up museum to display our research findings, followed by a performance bringing some of their stories to life. The event will be held at Stanwell School from 6-8pm and tickets are available for £3.50 per person. All proceeds will be donated to the Royal British Legion. Should you wish to join us, tickets are available from Donna Daly at Stanwell School's reception.

This event intends to honour the personal sacrifices made by men from our own community and we would welcome your presence if you wish to join us.
